Is it free?

Yes, and you don’t need an account. Free audits have a daily limit per visitor. With a Hexrate trial you can audit any account.

Do you need my password?

No. The audit only reads what anyone can see on a public profile. There’s no Instagram login and no Facebook connection.

Can I audit a competitor or a creator?

Yes. It works on any public account: a competitor, a creator you may hire, or your own.

Why only the last 12 posts?

Recent posts show how the account is doing now. Twelve is enough to even out one unusually strong or quiet post, and it keeps the audit fast.

What does “private” mean here?

The account only shows its posts to approved followers. The audit still reads the profile and most of Profile health; checks that need posts show “-”.

How is engagement rate calculated?

For each of the last 12 posts: (likes + comments) ÷ followers × 100, then averaged. Pinned posts and posts with hidden likes are left out.
